GGGI Youth Delegates Program

The Global Green Growth Institute internship program (also called "Grow Green" Program) provides a unique learning opportunity for students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds. The program is designed for talented and motivated individuals skilled in areas relevant to GGGI’s operations. The program allows selected candidates to gain insight into the work of the Institute and provides assistance and training in various professional fields in a multicultural environment. We encourage qualified women and men, in particular, nationals of developing countries, with diverse professional, academic, and cultural backgrounds to apply. 

 

Objective
  • GGGI’s COMKS Unit will recruit students to serve as GGGI Youth Delegates who will represent GGGI by promoting its mission, vision, and ongoing activities through social media and other public-facing platforms.
  • The delegates will play a supporting role in enhancing GGGI’s visibility among local and international youth audiences, in alignment with the organization's communication and outreach strategy. 

 

Goals
  • To promote GGGI’s core messages, values, and thematic priorities through youth-friendly formats and channels.
  • To support the dissemination of GGGI’s ongoing activities and events, such as GGGWeek2025, to broader audiences, particularly among university and youth networks
  • To produce and share original content (e.g., social media posts, blogs, short videos) that aligns with GGGI’s communication standards and thematic focus.
  • To Actively paricticipate and support the overall event management during GGGWeek 2025.

Qualification
  • Students currently enrolled in universities in Korea, or recent graduates who completed their studies within the last year.
  • Applicants should demonstrate interest in international organizations, climate change, the SDGs, or green development.
  • Participants must be active on social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, blog, YouTube, TikTok) or demonstrate the ability to create engaging content.
  • Possess an excellent command of English or Korean and both.

Submission Method
  • Applicants are required to submit their applications through the GGGI Online Recruitment System.
  • The application must submit a CV (maximum 1 page) and a Motivation Letter of up to one page in English.
  • Applicants must include a link to a portfolio or sample work in their CV, showcasing relevant skills (e.g., writing, digital content creation, social media posts, etc.). Submission is mandatory; applications without a portfolio will not be considered

 

Selection Process
  • Applications will be reviewed based on the submitted CV and motivation letter and protfolio.
  • Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a brief online interview to finalize selection.

 

Scope of Work
  • Orientation
    • All selected ambassadors are required to attend the mandatory orientation session scheduled. (A detailed orientation date and time to be confirmed).

  • Promotion of GGGI
    • Specific activities may include (but are not limited to):
    • Conducting interviews with GGGI staff or senior management on selected themes (topics to be provided by the COMKS team);
    • Promoting flagship publications and thematic campaigns via social media or blog-style posts;
    • Creating content to highlight GGGI’s ongoing programs or country operations.
    • Support the event of GGGI by participating in-person and serving as on-site staff or volunteers

  • GGGWeek2025 Promotion to local and global audiences
    • Ambassadors are required to attend and actively engage in all official GGGWeek2025 sessions (virtual or in-person, as applicable).
    • Content generation will include:
    • Writing event summaries or short articles/blogs after each day or session;
    • Creating and submitting short-form content such as social media captions, key takeaways, photos, or reels (details to be provided);
    • Participating in communications challenges or collaborative campaigns during the lead-up to and during GGGWeek2025.
    • The ambassadors should strictly follow the GGGI’s guidelines before posting their content on social media, and all activities will be reviewed to ensure alignment with GGGI’s core values.

 

Benefits
  • Participants who meet the required level of engagement and successfully complete the program will be awarded an official GGGI 2025 Youth Delegates Certificate.
  • Among those who receive the certificate, the top 2 outstanding students will be offered a short-term internship (1–2 months) in GGGI
  • Youth Delegates will have the chance to participate in GGGI events, interact with international delegates, and represent the youth voice during key sessions.
  • Gain exclusive opportunities to meet and engage with world-renowned leaders and experts during GGGWeek.
  • Following the GGGWeek Closing Ceremony, Youth Delegates will be invited to a career development seminar hosted by GGGI’s Human Resources Team.
