Program Integration Associate
The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Development (MoPD), is implementing the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness Project to enhance Ethiopia’s capacity to access and manage climate finance through the GCF. The project aims to strengthen the institutional and technical capacity of the Ethiopian government to plan, implement, and monitor climate change projects that align with Ethiopia’s national climate strategies and development goal. The Program Integration Associate will be based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia country Office. The Associate will work under the supervision of the Country Representative and GCF readiness project lead and will directly report to the Country Representative. The Associate is responsible for providing technical and operational support to the implementation of the country office programs. The Associate will work closely with the project managers in the Ethiopia Country Office through providing technical support in managing, implementing, and ensuring project activities, outputs and budget are executed according to the Work Plan Budget and consistent with GGGI policies.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Country Representative in Ethiopia, the Associate will support the Project Managers and country representative in maintaining effective program reporting and communication internally and externally with donors and development partners in line with GGGI corporate policies, standards, and protocols.
The position is for 12 months with the possibility of extension depending on funding availability.

Purpose
- Supports Country Director and Project Managers in monitoring the projects, when necessary, both, substantively and financially, as needed, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and supporting strategic decision-making
- Compile and share monthly conflict analysis of the project sites where GGGI is operating
- Support project reporting for further review and approval both internally within GGGI's systems and processes, as well as externally to project partners.
- Ensure adherence to GGGI policies across procurement, legal, HR and finance within the designated project and in coordination with the GGGI Ethiopia teams
- Serve as Security Focal Point of the country office and manage security and conflict sensitivity related assignments to keep the compliance agreed with the dormers and partners
ENGAGEMENT
- Actively engage with the country representative and project managers in providing operation and program management support
- Liaising with internal stake holders (Finance, Procurement) and external sources of analysis, including other organizations working in similar areas, and other analysts in Ethiopia.
- Work closely with the project partners to process meetings, arrange workshops, and organize & prepare events.
- Maintain relationships and share information with stakeholders
DELIVERY
- Maintain, in coordination with Project Managers, a program filing system and safeguard reporting/documentary quality to support reporting to GGGI HQ, donors and program stakeholders.
- Contributing to project proposals, in line with the Guidance Note on Integrating Conflict Sensitivity into Proposals
- Support the establishment and maintenance of a functional system to unsure efficient control
- Conduct field monitoring and analysis of ongoing activities to help build understanding of how GGGI activities interact with conflict dynamics.
- Provide contextual and conflict sensitivity inductions to GGGI Ethiopia Team
- Prepare monthly reports on conflict dynamics in project areas.
- Collaborate with the Communications and Knowledge Management Senior Associate to develop lessons learned on GGGI Ethiopia’s approach to Conflict Sensitivity
QUALIFICATION
REQUIREMENT
- Undergraduate in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics and related field (an advanced degree will be considered an asset)
- At least 3~5 years of relevant experience in Project management and Operation
- Experience in International working environment
- Ability to understand and support multiple projects, and familiarity with standard project management stages and activities, PM4DEV certificate is an asset

WORKING CONDITIONS
The Program Officer is a National position at an X6 grade level on the GGGI’s Ethiopia national salary scale. The salary range for the position starts at USD 14,676 per annum and is determined based on the candidate's experience, academic background, and internal equity.
